Amazing buildings churches and museums populate the Midlands. Two outstanding places to visit are Leicester Cathedral with the tomb of Richard III and the Richard III Visitor Centre next door. The story of Richard III’s discovery in a car park is fascinating and you can see how they did it at the Centre. His tomb and two associated stunning stained glass windows together with his beautiful coffin pall (the embroidered sheet that was on his coffin) in Leicester Cathedral should be on everybody’s “must see list”.
